Moldova beats Estonia at “Valentin Granatkin” tournament

The Under 18 football team of Moldova won one more victory at the memorial tournament “Valentin Granatkin” that is taking place in Russia’s Saint Petersburg. The national squad of Estonia was beaten by 1-0, the goal being scored by Andrei Cobet in the 62nd minute, IPN reports.

Earlier, Moldova defeated Kazakhstan. In the given tournament, Moldova struggles for one of the 13th-18th places in Group K. In the match for the 13th place, Moldova will play against the winner of Group L (Greece or Russia). The game to decide the final rankings of the competition will take place on January 11.

Valentin Granatkin was a famous Soviet footballer and the first vice president of the FIFA in 1955-1979.
