The Republic of Moldova and Romania will host the ministerial conference of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) in Iasi and Chisinau in 2027. The decision was adopted in Tirana, Albania, by the votes of the EHEA member states, IPN reports.
The conference will bring together the ministers of education of the member countries of the European Union and the EHEA, representatives of the European Commission, of European and international quality assurance organizations.
The Ministry of Education and Research said that the event represents a tool for monitoring and advancing the Bologna process. “Moldova’s aligning with the implementation of the Bologna Process for our young people means the chance to participate in academic mobility abroad, studies of a higher quality at home and the opportunity to recognize in the future the diplomas obtained in the Republic of Moldova at European level,” said Minister of Education Dan Perciun.
