The Moldo-Romanian committee on economic cooperation and European integration will come together for a special meeting on the occasion of the forthcoming visit of Moldovan Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi to Bucharest. The event was agreed upon today at a meeting between Greceanyi and Romania's Ambassador Filip Teodorescu, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Government's press service, the Romanian diplomat expressed his confidence that the visit of the Moldovan Prime Minister to Bucharest and the meeting with her Romanian counterpart Calin Popescu Tariceanu would represent a direct contribution to enhancing the relationship between the two countries.
The timing of the visit is very opportune, as the two prime ministers will have the possibility to discuss the results of the upcoming European Council's meeting. The subjects agreed upon at this level point out the positive relations between the two countries, Filip Teodorescu remarked.
Zinaida Greceanyi highlighted the importance of her visit to Bucharest from the perspective of Moldova's European aspirations and sought to express gratitude to her Romanian counterpart Mr. Tariceanu for the invitation and for the constant support from the Romanian Government on the path to European integration.
Moldova's First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Stratan, also Minister of Foreign Affairs, told reporters after Wednesday's Cabinet meeting that, while in Bucharest, Greceanyi would be looking to sign the much-discussed bilateral accords – the Basic Treaty and the Transboundary Traffic Convention.
