Two thematic exhibitions,”Moldconstruct” and “Moldenergy”, will be staged at Moldexpo Center during March 28-31. According to Moldexpo head Zinaida Popa, more than 110 participants have registered to take part and exhibit their possibilities in the fields of construction and renewable energy, IPN reports.
Zinaida Popa noted that the two exhibitions offer a platform where everyone can display all their services and materials to build a European Moldova. The purpose of “Moldenergy” is to efficiently harness the energy resources, solar, wind and biogas energy resources, application of energy conservation technology, etc.
The exhibitions will be inaugurated on March 28, at 1:30 p.m. In addition to the exhibitions, there will be held informative seminars on renewable energy.
Minister of Energy Victor Parlicov said now that minimum energy security was ensured, we can talk about a new stage in the development of the Republic of Moldova: investments in the energy sector and development of other sectors. The two exhibitions are not accidentally mounted together as the two sectors are interconnected – the energy sector with the construction sector.
The official added that over 50% of all energy is consumed in buildings in Moldova. Almost twice as much energy as the current EU average has been spent on maintaining one square meter so far. A lot of energy is wasted because it is not used efficiently. Therefore, the Ministry’s top priority is to invest in the energy efficiency of buildings and multiple initiatives in this regard have been launched the past year.
Vbictor Parlicov also said that he expects the widest possible investment participation in the two fields and a wide participation in the two exhibitions. In his opinion, the two events will help increase the quality of life and reduce bills for the citizens.
