Voters from the seven localities where mayors will be elected on November 17 can request the mobile ballot box. Mobile voting is intended for people who, for health reasons or for other good reasons, cannot go to the polling station. Those interested can contact the local electoral bureau, IPN reports.

Applications must be submitted in writing by 02:00 p.m. on the day before the vote. On election day, applications will be accepted by the electoral bureau until 02:00 p.m., only if a medical certificate is presented.

People who cannot submit the application for voting on their own have the right to do so through a family member or to seek help from the social worker of the mayor’s office. If, due to a physical disability, illness or other good reasons, the voter cannot personally sign the application for voting at the place of residence, he/she can personally submit the application in verbal form to the polling station, or by phone, in case of impossibility, said the Central Election Commission.

On election day, the head of the electoral bureau of the polling station shall appoint at least two members of the bureau, who will travel with the mobile ballot box and the materials necessary for voting to the place where the voter is.

On November 17, mayoral elections will be held in seven localities, namely: Căușeni town, the communes of Iliciovca (Floresti), Boșcana (Criuleni), Antonești (Cantemir) and the villages of Arionești (Dondușeni), Clocușna (Ocnița) and Popeștii de Jos (Drochia).
