Mission started in Kosovo. 41 soldiers will participate in operations for 6 months

41 professional soldiers, part of the National Army's KFOR-22 contingent, have started their peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, which will last for half a year, IPN reports.

The servicemen will carry out guarding and defense operations of objects of strategic importance, missions to ensure the security of the "Camp Vilaggio Italia" base, including the Decane Monastery, as well as engineering research and detection of explosive objects in the area of responsibility.

In recognition, the soldiers of the previous KFOR 21 contingent were decorated with medals for their participation in peacekeeping activities.

This time, the flag and the responsibilities of the function were handed over by Major Ion Vlas, commander of KFOR-2, to Capt. Radu Turcanu, in the presence of the Regional Command superior, Col. Rocco Mundo, and peacekeepers from the Multinational Base "Camp Vilaggio Italy.
