The Ministry of Education and Research will be reorganized. The post of deputy secretary general in charge of the implementation of the requirements concerning Moldova’s accession to the EU was instituted at the Ministry. The institution will also have a special subunit – the Public Policy and European Integration Coordination Division – and a Foreign Assistance Coordination Service, IPN reports.
The Cabinet decided to merge a number of divisions of the Ministry. The General Education Division will merge with the Lifelong Learning Service into the General Education Policy and Lifelong Learning Division. By merging the Legal Section with the Human Resources Section, the Legal and Human Resources Section will be created.
According to Minister Dan Perciun, the reform is aimed at strengthening the institution’s capacities in connection with the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova. “The reorganization we approve today will help us to faster advance in the implementation of the assumed reforms,” stated Dan Perciun.
