Ministry of Economy and Commerce works out draft Law on private public partnership

This year, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce will work out and present to the Government the draft Law on private public partnership. "This document aims at increasing investment in the fields such as service providing and infrastructure and, at the same it will be one of the basic components of the successful fulfilling of the Strategy for attracting investments and promoting exports for 2006-2015", vice minister of Economy and Commerce Viorel Melnic told a meeting attended by representatives of the World Bank, EBRD, UNDP, and of other donor organisations from Moldova. Vice minister mentioned the fields of the partnership that cover public and private sector, as thermo energy complex, water and sewerage supply systems, national highways, tourism, system for processing domestic waste etc. As he says, an information campaign will be opportune both for the representatives of the local and central public administration, and for the businessmen, as it will familiarise with the possibilities offered by the private public partnership. A series of seminars and trainings, attended by civil servants and economic entities will be organised in 2007 with the financial support of UNDP. Foreign and national experts, Moldovan enterprisers will be involved in the process of working out the draft Law on private public partnership.
