The Ciocana Court that was subject to a bomb hoax today was to examine the prosecutors’ request to issue a warrant for the arrest of Vlad Plahotniuc for unjustified absence, said Minister of Justice Sergiu Litvinenco. According to him, the bandit methods of acting do not change with the passing of time and the same bomb scares are witnessed, IPN reports.

“Do you remember the day of June 7, 2019, when Plahotniuc, unwilling to accept his removal from power, organized all kinds of ‘bomb scares’ in Parliament and in other state institutions?” asked the minister. According to him, additional measures are needed for the liability for such perverse actions to match the gravity of the deed.

Meanwhile, the Border Police announced that the bomb threat at the Chisinau International Airport turned out to be a hoax and the airport now works according to the ordinary schedule. All the airport staff members and travellers who were inside the building were evacuated. The specialized services examined the building. The check-in procedure was suspended and some of the flights will take off with delay.

A number of bombs threats were reported at state and private institutions today, including the Parliament Building, the Government Building, courts, shopping centers, hospitals and the Chisinau International Airport. Two bomb hoaxes were reported at the Chisinau International Airport on Monday.
