Minibus and taxi drivers working in Chisinau were fined 150 to 750 lei for the inappropriate technical state of their vehicles.
According to the Chisinau Police Division, as a result of inspections the police drew up 21 reports and withdrew the license plate of a minibus. The managers were issued with prescriptions for allowing motor vehicles that do not meet the technical norms to run and transport passengers, IPN reports.
A number of 14 reports were made against drivers. The manager of a firm was fined 3,000 lei for allowing units of transport that do not meet the technical or ecological norms and of those that weren’t registered or weren’t subject to state technical inspection to run and transport passengers.
