Milsami Orhei and Saint-Etienne produced a 1-1 draw in the first leg of Europa League play-offs, IPN reports.

Saint Etienne clearly dominated proceedings in the first half and missed a penalty on 16 minutes, when Hamouama failed to beat young keeper Radu Matu. The 28 year old forward made amends before the half-time whistle, when he netted the first goal of the game. Unfortunately for him, he was sent off on 54 minutes after a red card for a tough tackle against Rassulov. Milsami used their numerical superiority and leveled the score through Cristian Bud.

”We are happy with the result. We still have chances to reach the Europa League group stage”, Milsami's coach Iurie Osipenco told the press.

“Qualification will be decided in the second leg. We must win that game. We'll play 11 against 11. We cannot afford to be a man down because we commit to many mistakes”, said French coach Christophe Galtier.

The second leg will be played on August 27, on the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard arena in Saint Etienne.
