The team trained by Veaceslav Rusnac Milsami Orhei has qualified for the quarterfinals of Moldova’s Football Cup after beating Sfantul Gheorghe Suruceni 2-0 away, IPN reports.
Both of the goals were scored by Mihai Platica in the 12th and 38th minutes. The match between Sparta and Zimbru ended by the same score. Douglas and Stana scored for the guests towards the end of the game.
“Our objective is to win the Cup,” the coach of Zimbru Iurie Osipenko told a news conference.
The other matches of the 1/8 finals ended as follows: Dacia - Granicerul 6-1, Zaria - Sangerei 6-1 and Sparta - Speranta 1-2.
