Milsami became the new National Football Division leader after beating Sheriff in Tiraspol 1-0, IPN reports.

Mihai Plătică scored the only goal in the 17th minute, but was sent off in the 47th minute for the accumulated yellow cards. “I think we deserved this victory. I congratulate the players as they made considerable effort,” Milsami coach Veaceslav Rusnac told a news conference.

Milsami and Sheriff are one point ahead of Sfântul Gheorghe,  which drew 2-2 away with Petrocub Hîncești. Vadim Gulceac and Ion Jardan scored the first goals for Petrocub, while the team trained by Lilian Popescu achieved only a draw. The goals for the guests were scored by Sergiu Istrati and Miroslav Mazur.

Zimbru and Dinamo-Auto drew in Chisinau. The “yellow-greens” started to lead in the 30th minute following the goal scored by Radu Scoarță, but Valeriu Makritski tied in the last minutes of the game.

In Orhei, Speranța defeated the newly promoted Codru Lozova 2-1. Maxim Iurcu opened the score in the 29th minute, but Arcadie Rusu tied in the 92nd minute. Speranța ultimately scored the victory goal from a penalty ordered by referee Yuri Kovtun. The same Iurcu scored and Speranța climbed to the fourth spot in the rankings.
