Milsami won the fourth consecutive victory in the National Division, managing to beat Academia 1-0. The only goal of the match played in Chisinau was scored by Nigerian fullback Ovye Monday in the 58th minute, IPN reports.
This success allowed Milsami to climb to the first place in the championship, being one point ahead of Dacia, which meets FC Tiraspol at home on March 5. “We had a hard match with Academia. You cannot win all the matches with a perfect score,” Milsami coach Iurie Osipenco told a news conference.
“A lot of players joined my team the previous days. We do not yet have a homogeneous collective. Even so, we are hopeful that we will win,” said the coach of Academia Vladimir Vusatyi.
The other two games played within the 20th stage ended as follows: Sheriff - Zimbru 3-0, and Dinamo-Auto - Zaria 4-0.
