Milsami Orhei made an unsuccessful start in the European Cups. On June 30, the Moldovan team lost away the first-leg match of the inaugural Europa League qualifying round against Dinamo Tbilisi 0-2. The hosts opened the score in the fourth minute through Nika Kvekveskiri. Milsami attacked the opponents’ goal, but all their attempts failed. In the second half of the game, Dinamo’s Irakli Lekvtadze scored another goal. The second-leg match will be played in Orhei on July 7. The stadium in Orhei will host a European Cup game for the first time. Only the National Stadium, the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, the Sheriff Stadium in Tiraspol and the Sports Complex in Speia village of Anenii Noi district hosted such competitions before. In Europa League, Moldova will be also represented by Sheriff Tiraspol and Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa. Both of the teams will begin with the second qualifying round.
