Soldiers of the National Army are preparing for the military parade that will be staged in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on August 27, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the proclaiming of the independence of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
According to National Army commander Igor Gorgan, brigade general, the soldiers who will take part in the parade are being selected in military units so as to form the detachments that will march in the central square alongside representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Security and Intelligence Service of the Republic of Moldova.
The parade will involve service members of the Bălţi, Chisinau and Cahul garrisons, representatives of the Military Academy “Alexandru cel Bun” and a group of veterans of the 1992 armed conflict for defending the integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova.
Joint training with the staff of the institutions involved in the parade will be held in August under the bridge on Hâncești highway in Telecentru quarter. The general rehearsals in the Great National Assembly Square will be staged in the second half of August.
The decree on the mounting of the military parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the proclaiming of the independence of the Republic of Moldova was signed by President Maia Sandu, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and was published in the Official Gazette on July 23 this year.
