The leader of the parliamentary group of the Party of Action and Solidarity Mihai Popșoi said that starting with today, in Parliament there is a majority of “good people” that, together with the President and the Government that will be invested the next few days, will serve the interests of the citizens and will start work. The only option is to govern well, honestly and competently, the MP stated in the July 29 siting of Parliament, being quoted by IPN.

“The vote given to us several weeks ago enables us to leave behind one of the most toxic Parliaments in the history of the Republic of Moldova – a Parliament in which the thieves dictated, while the Moldovans had to pay considerably for their schemes. The interests of the ordinary people had been ignored for too long,” stated the MP.

According to him, the challenges are great, but this majority will enable to take swift decisions and to annihilate all the corrupt networks that kept the country stagnant.

“We want to turn Parliament into one of most transparent institutions of the country, where the people will be able to any time see what is debated, what the MPs do and how the public funds are spent. We will come up swiftly with a plan of measures to increase this institution’s transparency,“ said the MP.

Mihail Popșoi noted he would like to see a civilized dialog between the power and the opposition.

Three political entities entered the new Parliament as a result of the July 11 snap parliamentary elections. The Party of Action and Solidarity gained 63 seats of MP, the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists 32 seats, while the Shor Party – six seats.
