Mihail Bradu achieved the best results among the Moldovan Greco-Roman wrestlers at the European Wrestling Championships held in Serbia. Before reaching the quarterfinals of the 75 kg class, he scored two victories.

Bradu didn’t have chances in the fight against Bulgaria’s Tarek Mohamed, who won gold. The Moldovan athlete then beat a Swiss wrestler and in the match for the bronze lost to Hungary’s Tamas Lorincz, who is a double European champion and Olympic vice champion.

Greco-Roman wrestlers Donior Islamov and Valentin Petic were eliminated after the first round. Last year, Islamov was the only Moldovan who returned with a medal from the European Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships that took place in Latvia.
