“Till April 23 Chisinau will be clean”, declared at a Mayoralty operative meeting the head of the Communal Services Department, Mihai Solcan, quoted by “Info-Prim Neo”.
Regarding the cleaning campaign from Chisinau for the Easter holydays he reported that the employees of the sub-department after cleaning the territories administrated by municipal enterprises, participated at cleaning the areas managed by the Associations of Flat Owners (APLP). He criticized once again the activity of the APLP managers that, according to him, ignore their attributions regarding cleaning the territories near the blocks. Solcan also disapproved the attitude of some inhabitants of the city, which disrespect sanitation rules and throw their garbage on the territories already cleaned. Solcan gave the example of the “sea of Garbage” from Brancusi Street and nearby hostels. Despite these facts, he guaranteed that “on April 23 Chisinau will be clean”.
The head of the Municipal Centre for Preventive Medicine, Constatntin Grecu has another point of view upon this problem. He stated that the cleaning actions from the last two months didn’t have the expected results. At present, tens of garbage spots, drowned basements and messy territories are registered. According to Grecu, even on the territories managed by municipal enterprises from the department headed by Solcan, 19 unauthorized garbage spots were found. The health assistants registered sanitary disorders on the territories around 59 blocks of flats, near roads and public places. During this cleaning period 1714 economic units which didn’t keep clean their territories were found. As a result 202 official reports were drafted, including to SA Termocom, Exdrupo Management from Rascani district and for many APLPs and Associations of House Co-owners.
At the end of the 2 month period of cleaning actions, 75 % of the sods are still in bad condition, 9 springs and about 55% of the parks and squares are not sanitary.
