MP of the bloc ACUM Mihai Popușoi said it will be regrettable if none of the MPs accepts the invitation to discussions today issued by the bloc ACUM. In such a case, ACUM will rethink its position. The issue was developed in the talk show “Truth live”, IPN reports.

Mihai Popușoi said the bloc ACUM made this invitation in order to discuss by points the earlier proposed package of de-oligarchization laws that are open to amendments and improvements.

The MP also said the bloc ACUM is ready to assume governance by forming a minority Government, even if this is very risky for them. The creation of a minority Government led by Maia Sandu is possible only after a representative of ACUM, who would be supported by the Socialists and not only, is elected as Parliament Speaker and after the package of de-oligarchization laws is adopted.

“The fact that we have 26 seats allows us to come up with proposals who seem too courageous to some. We do not think they are too courageous. I refer here to the minority Government we proposed. We assume governance. With the 26 seats and with the trust we enjoy among the people, we are ready to struggle and to govern despite all the existing problems,” stated Mihai Popșoi.

According to him, the Socialists, if they are o good faith and sincere when they say they want to get rid of oligarchy, should prove this by voting for this minority Government that offers them the chance to solve this big problem with the hands of the bloc ACUM. “They know we are of good faith and are ready to assume this struggle and to really struggle till the end fiercely, as they probably are unable to struggle,” stated the politician.

He noted such a solution could be ideal for the bloc ACUM and for the Party of Socialists, but an official alliance between them could be harshly penalized by the voters. Furthermore, an official alliance between ACUM and the Party of Socialists is not possible owing to the very big ideological differences existing between them.
