Mihai Moldovanu, the head of the Health Direction, asks the interim mayor of Chisinau, Vlad Cotet, for support in eliminating the police post in the quarters of the direction, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The position of head of the Health Direction has been disputed since later in 2008. It is claimed both by Mihai Moldovanu, appointed by the mayor of Chisinau, and by Ion Arteni, appointed by the Chisinau Municipal Council. Several conflicts have happened between those two meanwhile. The police post in the Direction was installed earlier in December, ordered by Arteni. Then he had also changed the lock of the door of the head's office.
Moldovanu stated Monday at the staff meeting of the City Hall that “the police post is installed in the building illegally.” “It works on the basis of a contract signed by the chancellery of the Chisinau Municipal Chisinau (CMC) and the Interior Ministry. The contract is signed by Ion Arteni, who was not entitled to sign such a contract,” Moldovanu said.
“We don't need this police post. We neither have money to afford such services,” Moldovanu said that the direction paid 25,000 lei to the police up to now.
Recently the Chisinau Appellate Court decided that Ion Arteni's appointed was legal, but Mihai Moldovanu's lawyer sued the decision in the Supreme Court of Justice.
