Mihai Godea: It looks as if we had hallucinations on April 7

“After listening to the reports (on the investigation of the April 7, 2009 events), I got a distressing impression. The first thought that came to my mind was that we all, together with society, had hallucinations on April 7 and that practically nothing happened. The reports provided known information. It is not enough as no new details were said,” the leader of the Liberal-Democratic group Mihai Godea said during a break in the Parliament’s sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the MP, more information should have been furnished about the destruction of the documents of the Security and Information Service, who was responsible and who gave orders. “We want to know what information was destroyed,” said Mihai Godea. He also said that they want to know how many prosecutors of those involved in illegal trials and other actions have been penalized. “I hope the institutions dealing with the investigation of those events will provide answers,” Godea said. The leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin said the presentation of the reports was a show forming part of the election campaign.
