The Security and Information Service, the National Bank of Moldova, the National Agency for Energy Regulation, the Agency “Moldsilva” and the Tourism Agency are the state institutions entrusted to the Liberal Party in accordance with agreements reached by the Alliance for European Integration and laid down in the secret annexes of the alliance constitution agreement. The annexes were made public by the Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu in a program on the public TV channel Moldova 1, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We have not yet taken over the Security and Information Service and have not named our director. Because of the unstable situation in the country, nobody wants to occupy a post and be dismissed in three months. The National Bank remained in the PL’s change since the previous time as the governor is chosen for seven years. It was the same with the National Agency for Energy Regulation, where the officials can be replaced only in a certain period of time. Thank God that we manage the Tourism Agency. We stopped human trafficking and the situation is now different. But they wanted to take this institution from us,” said Mihai Ghimpu.
According to him, the Audit Office, the Central Election Commission, the National Bureau of Statistics, the Border Guard Service, the National Center for Personal Data Protection and the Agency for Material Reserves are managed by the Liberal Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party is in charge of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Financial Market Commission, the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre, the Interethnic Relations Bureau, and the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime.
The Liberal leader denied the PLDM head Vlad Filat’s assertion that the post of president of the Supreme Court of Justice was also distributed. “This is not right. You see that there was no secret in these annexes,” said Mihai Ghimpu, adding that the distribution of the state posts by the AEI started with the sharing of the parliamentary commissions and the designation of these commissions’ deputy heads.
Mihai Ghimpu said he can renounce the post of Speaker if this will help elect the head of state. “I have nothing to share with somebody. But we should not forget that governing without holding posts means bearing responsibility before the people without having levers. I do not like the persons who want absolute power and are not satisfied with what God gave them,” he stated.
Vlad Filat said Tuesday that he is sick and tired of speculations and will thus make public the annexes of the agreement on the formation of the AEI, even if his colleagues from the alliance are against it.
