His Holiness Vladimir, Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova, in his Easter letter calls on the Christians to forgive and reconcile with everyone, to show love for the close ones and solidarity, to enhance faith and conquer by love the Kingdom of God, IPN reports.
“The Divine Feast of Resurrection of God offers us the joy of meeting you with the angelic news:
“Jesus has risen!” said the Metropolitan Bishop.
“Living in the Resurrection Light, the faithful allow to be guided by Jesus Christ, the Real God who controls life and death. They are thus not overcome by the fear of this world that tends to become more violent, are overwhelmed not by sadness and despair owing to the instability and unsafety in society, but by joy and faith in God. This joy and hope is shared with everyone – the family and community, relatives, friends and foreigners, the close ones and those who are not so close, the dear ones and those with whom one is angry,” says the letter.
“My dear brothers, those from the country and those from the diaspora, Easter Sunday is the Day of the Kingdom of God prepared since the foundation of the world of those who show love for the close ones. My dear, we should not distance oneself from each other and should not hate each other owing to ephemeral things as God says: what good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? We should not lose our souls due to hatred and should conquer by love the Kingdom by living in peace. We should celebrate and rejoice on the day created by God.”
