The memorandum of understanding for the Moldova Partners in Education Program will be signed in Chisinau by the end this month. Under the program, Microsoft will provide know-how support to Moldovan schools in developing an information society and facilitating the exchange of inexperience using information technology, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. “The Ministry is implementing a number of IT education projects designed to ensure people's access to the Internet and digital television,” ICT Minister Alexandru Oleinic said during the presentation of the program. Deputy Minister of Education Loreta Handrabura said that this program corresponds to the realities of an information society, while manager for Academic and Education Audience at Microsoft Romania Sanda Foamete stressed that such programs proved their efficiency in more than 112 countries. About 178.5 million students have access to these programs in the countries where they are implemented. “The memorandum enables the schools, teachers and students in Moldova to learn from the positive experience of these countries,” Sanda Foamete said. Moldovan specialists and Microsoft experts will start work as part of the program in April.
