Members and sympathizers of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) protested in front of the Government Building. The demonstrators came with placards reading “PAS-Party of liquidators”, “No to liquidation of jobs”, “Digitalization of poverty and thievery” or “No to privatization” and “Stop stealing”, IPN reports.

Ex-President Igor Dodon said that such lawlessness and chaos as now weren’t witnessed during all the years of independence, such incompetent persons and traitors as Maia Sandu and her team have never been in power. According to him, in Moldova there is a criminal group that steals everything it can and destroys everything that has been built so far He called on the people to protest and “hit Maia Sandu and her criminal group by any means.”

Ex-MP Nikita Turcan noted that things in the country have worsened. The government understands very specifically how to do reforms: prices rise, while wages are miserable. Only ministers’ salaries increase.

Adrian Dumeniuc, municipal councilor, said that the current developments in the country in relation to citizens can be called genocide. Laws are broken. The Constitution is not respected.

The Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă told a press conference that the Government does not comment on the claims or aspects that were mentioned in the BCS’s protest. He noted yet that we live in a democratic society. The right to protest is an inalienable right and the people have the right to do it under the law.
