The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova candidate, Alexandru Fetescu, is 33 years old. He holds a degree in administrative sciences. He graduated from the State University of Moldova with a degree in public administration. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in economics, obtained at the Academy of Public Administration.
He has been a member of the party since 2011 and holds the secretary general seat since 2017. During the 2008-2011 period, he worked as an executive in a private company. Between 2012-2014, he was an MP aid. Moreover, Alexandru Fetescu was councilor in the parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party, during the 2016-2017 period.
Between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2018, together with his wife, he declared an income of 345 thousand lei coming from salaries and dividends. The family owns an urban parcel of land, a commercial space and a car.
During the campaign announcement speech, Alexandru Fetescu said that PLDM councilors, along with local community members, aim to improve the lives of the people over the course of the next 4 years. This implies clean villages and cities with aqueducts and sewers, with good pre-school and school education services, with new roads and with new opportunities for entrepreneurs and agricultural producers.
"Over the course of the next four years, our local elected officials will manage our communities in a transparent fashion, together with all the residents. They will expand the public water and sewerage, sanitation, planning and transport services in the settlements that do not yet benefit from these services. The PLDM team will become the main project development actors and will attract funding for infrastructure, social services and for entrepreneurs. Additionally, providing access to education, medical services and pharmaceutical products for rural residents will be priority tasks for PLDM local officials”, said Alexandru Fetescu.
