Mayoral elections to be held in Tîrnova and Nucăreni Sept. 6

Local mayoral elections will take place in Tîrnova village of Dondușeni district and in Nucăreni village of Telenești district on September 6. By three candidates are running for mayor in each of the two villages, IPN reports.

In Târnova, the mayoralty is disputed by Victor Bodorin of the Party of Socialists, Ion Lisnic of the Democratic Party, and Oleg Lisnic, an independent candidate.

In Nucăreni, the aspirants for mayor are Sergey Rusu of the Democratic Party, Sergiu Lașcu of the Liberal Democratic Party, and Yury Chernolev of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”.

According to the Central Election Commission, 3,068 ballots will be printed for the elections in Tîrnova and 827 ballots for the elections in Nucăreni at a cost of almost 3,000 lei.

The new mayoral elections in the two villages will be held following the resignation of the mayors who were elected as heads of Dondușeni district and, respectively, of Telenești district.
