Mayor general of Chisinau Ion Ceban exercised his right to vote. He told the press that he voted for a better future for everyone, from children to adults. Ion Ceban came to the polling station together with his wife and youngest son, IPN reports.

The mayor told journalists that his vote was for the citizens to have a better life at home. "We all want Moldova to prosper and everything we want for us, we also want for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova: peace, wellbeing and development," stated Ion Ceban.

The mayor noted that it is important for the citizens eligible to vote to go to the polls and choose their future.

The runoff presidential election is taking place in the Republic of Moldova today, November 3. The voting-eligible citizens are expected to go to the polls between 07:00 a.m. and 09:00 p.m. to elect the head of state for the next four years.
