The Supreme Court of Justice Wednesday accepted the application of the Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca, whereby he challenges the decision to hold a contest for the post of director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company made by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Mayor named Gheorghe Morgoci to this post, but the Council announced a new contest. As when the CMC passed the decision the post was not vacant, Dorin Chirtoaca appealed the decision to court.
Studying the case and considering it well-founded, the Supreme Court of Justice admitted the mayor’s application to reexamine the decision at the Chisinau Court of Appeals.
“There is no court decision saying that the current director of the Trolleybus Company Gheorghe Morgoci holds the post illegally. So, the decision of the CMC is illegal,” said Victor Puiu, jurist at the City Hall’s Legal Service. He said he is determined to defend the mayor general’s decision in the Chisinau Court of Appeals.
During the last two years, the mayor and the CMC mutually disputed a number of decisions on the appointment of civil servants, namely of the heads of the Health Division, Cultural Division, the municipal newspaper “Capitala”, the Capital Constructions Division etc. No irrevocable decision was passed by courts so far.
