Moldovan tennis player Maxim Dubarenko, 20, climbed 55 spots in the ARP rankings to the 376th, IPN reports. This significant jump is due to his triumphant performance in his first Challenger tournament that took place in the Finish town of Tampere last week.

Dubarenko qualified for the quarterfinals, where he was beaten by France’s Maxime Teixeira. His performance in this tournament earned him 18 points in the ATP rankings and a check for €1,245.

Former national team player Roman Borvanov went up 37 spots in the ATP rankings to the 499th after playing in the competitions held in Canada and Columbia this month.

Moldovan tennis leader Radu Albot ranks 197th. His rating can improve if he has a good performance at the Challenger tournament of Liberec, the Czech Republic. In the first round, Albot meets Germany’s Tim Puetz.

Two more Moldovan tennis players are present in the ATP rankings. Andrei Ciumac comes 587th, while Roman Tudoreanu – 1,607th.
