Romania is ready to further support Moldova’s Government as Moldova remains the key objective of the official Bucharest’s foreign policy, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca said in an interview for the program “Place for dialogue” produced by the public station “Radio Moldova”, IPN reports.
The diplomat made it clear that Romania will monitor the activity of the Moldovan Cabinet. “We will sum up the results of the Government’s work, not of the statements made by the Prime Minister or members of the Cabinet,” stated Lazurca.
Marius Lazurca said that Romania was glad when the outcome of the November 30, 2014 elections showed that a pro-European parliamentary majority could be created and waited for this majority to be constituted.
“We wanted to see a pro-European parliamentary majority in Chisinau. We hope that the majority that voted in the Gaburici Government will promote and will further support Moldova’s pro-European course. We hope that a government program was voted, not particular persons for particular posts. We are glad that the Gaburici Government’s work program is identical with the program proposed by candidate for premiership Iurie Leanca. We were also glad when we heard the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat saying that the formation of a ruling alliance with the Liberal Party is still possible,” said the ambassador.
