MP of the Shor Party Marina Tauber said the legislative body is in front of a new start after the snap parliamentary elections in which the people voted as they voted, having big expectations. She voiced hope that the current Parliament will be successful and will work for the people, IPN reports.

In a press briefing, Marina Tauber said the country today would have been further if the MPs during the past 30 years had cooperated with responsibility and patriotism. According to her, the Shor Party will continue doing what it knows to do the best – to work in the interests of the citizens. “We do not intend to monitor the activity of the other MPs. We will cooperate with them for the benefit of the people,” stated the MP.

According to her, the experience accumulated by the party at the local level will be extended all over the country. Among the party’s key objectives are to develop the settlements, to work out and promote infrastructure development initiatives, etc. The MPs of the Shor Party will also insist on its proposal to create stationary or mobile social drugstores.

MP Denis Ulanov said the Shor Party’s parliamentary group in the previous legislature submitted many legislative proposals, but these haven’t been yet examined. Many of those bills match the objectives about which President Maia Sandu spoke in Parliament today. Annulling parliamentary immunity is one of the proposals for which they didn’t manage to gain a sufficient number of signatures, but they will insist on this proposal.

The first sitting of Parliament was suspended until July 29 at the suggestion of PAS MP Igor Grosu, who argued that the nominal composition of the permanent commissions and other bodies should be agreed meanwhile.

Three political entities entered the new Parliament, namely the Party of Action and Solidarity with 63 seats, the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists with 32 seats, and the Shor Party with six seats.
