The chairman of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu accuses the administration of the Liberal Party of refusing to accept to manage important ministries. He made such accusations after a new round of negotiations on the formation of a government coalition held by the PLDM, PDM and PL in the evening of January 19, IPN reports.
Lupu said the Liberals were offered the administration of the Ministry of Agriculture. “The Ministry of Agriculture is a very important government department, but they refused. They also refused to manage the Ministry of Justice, which is a very serious ministry. They continue to insist on being offered the post of head of state, but this post is not distributable. For the first time since the start of the talks, the Liberals came with concrete proposals that we will discuss tomorrow (January 20 – e.n.), he stated.
The Democratic leader added that they agreed with the PLDM to convene a Parliament sitting on January 21. “There is no time to lose. We must form the government and must adopt a series of important laws. We have a tight agenda so that the sides involved in the negotiations have one more day at their disposal to accept the compromises,” noted Lupu.
