“Vlad Filat opened Pandora’s Box and, if he changed the rules of the game, I can say that these tactics can be used not only by one player,” Head of Parliament Marian Lupu said, commenting on the voting in of Artur Reshetnikov as Deputy Speaker, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Mister Filat should understand that if he hadn’t opened Pandora’s Box, things would have stood differently now. We can speak about a coalition between the PDM and PCRM as well as about a coalition between the PLDM and PCRM,” said Marian Lupu. The head of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet told the reporters that the Lib-Dems found out about the intention to elect Reshetnikov as Deputy Head of Parliament on Thursday evening and said they are not against. “We discussed the issue earlier within the group and highlighted that the opposition has the right to this post, but we will act the same way. As they did not vote for the PLDM’s candidate for Deputy Speaker, we also did not vote for the PCRM’s candidate,” he stated. “The Head of Parliament said we would have opened Pandora’s Box, but we only warned about the inadmissibility of perpetuating processes that are dangerous for the alliance and the country. We will not allow keeping persons who use the alliance to hide their inability to do one’s job,” said Valeriu Strelet. Earlier, the Liberal-Democrat and Communist MPs voted in favor of dismissing the head of the Security and Information Service Gheorghe Mihai, while on October 28 Artur Reshetnikov was voted in as Deputy Speaker by the Communist and Democrat lawmakers.
