Marian Lupu calls on colleagues from AEI to consider steps after June 5

Marian Lupu pleads for the initiation of discussions on how to strengthen the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) after the local elections, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It is time that we start such talks so as to see our strategies at the post-election stage. This is of paramount importance and we must do something as we are being followed,” Marian Lupu said in a press briefing on May 30. The Acting President stressed that this is a rational position that should be based on certain ethical norms. He also said that this is also a call for realizing the importance of strengthening the AEI and the cooperation between these forces at the local level. Marian Lupu said that this viewpoint results from the meeting that he had in Warsaw. “If our European partners want to find out what will be after June 5, the ruling alliance should also look for answers. The alliance is obliged to maintain the partnerships established by Moldova,” he stated.
