Marian Lupu: AEI Council was created when agreement to constitute alliance was signed

Speaker Marian Lupu told the press on Wednesday that the Council of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) was constituted automatically after the signing of the agreement to form the government coalition. At the same time, the leader of the PDM does not rule out the possibility of formulating a separate document for the Council, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Council's format is 3+3+3. Any component of the Alliance will be able to replace its representatives on the Council if they want to. “I'm not sure that we need a separate document for the AEI Council. Perhaps it is needed now that we reached the conclusion that this Council should be supported by a secretariat and there must be set out clear working mechanisms,” Marian Lupu said. The leader of the PDM also said that the detailing of the functional elements of the alliance will be discussed after the new Government is installed. The president of honor of the PDM Dumitru Diacov said earlier that the agreement on the formation of the government coalition contains provisions about the constitution of the AEI Council. Officially, the Council will be constituted by January 14. The first vice president of the PL Ion Hadarca told Info-Prim Neo that this Council cannot be created before the formation of the Government.
