The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the Law and Justice Party Marcel Darie made new accusations against current mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. In a news conference on June 1, Marcel Darie said that all the municipal companies, including the Urban Bus Company, SA Edilitate, and SA Apa-Canal Chisinau, buy oil products from a company that has relations with another firm owned by the leader of the Liberal Party. According to him, the Chisinau City Hall did not hold a tender contest to select a supplier of oil products, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Marcel Darie said that all the municipal companies are now supplied with oil products by the Cimislia-based oil company Parstar Petrol. The director and one of the founders of Parstar Petrol is also the director of the company Eurosim, whose founders include Mihai Ghimpu. Dorin Chirtoaca uses a classical money laundering scheme, the candidate asserted.
“Using the important posts in the City Hall and Municipal Council, the Ghimpu-Chirtoaca clan employs fraudulent schemes to appropriate public money. The City Hall cannot purchase products through direct contracts, without tender contests, and an entrepreneur cannot supply oil products to the value of over 100,000 lei exclusively to the City Hall. It is out of the ordinary,” said Marcel Darie.
He also said that Parstar Petrol in 2009 had revenues of 266 million lei. “This is twice more than the profit made by Eurosim in 2009, which is more famous than Parstar Petrol,” he stated.
According to Marcel Darie, the authorizations for placing billboards are issued illegally. “The regulations adopted by the Chisinau Municipal Council clearly specify the conditions in which the authorizations are issued. But most of the authorizations were given to the company Aldora-Art, which appeared after Dorin Chirtoaca won the seat,” said Marcel Darie.
The Law and Justice Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau is under No. 12 in the ballot.
