The man who last summer threw his child from an apartment window in Chisinau was sentenced to 17 years and a half in jail by the Buiucani Court of Chisinau. He will also be expelled to his native country after he will serve his jail term, IPN reports.
It happened on July 4, 2022, close to 9pm. The man was in the kitchen of the fourth-floor apartment of a block situated in Buiucani district together with his daughter aged several months. For unknown reasons, he flung the child through the window. The child died on the spot.
The 29-year-old man is from Lebanon. He denied any wrongdoing, but was found guilty of cruelly murdering a minor family member.
The sentence can be disputed within 15 day. The man was held on remand until the conviction sentence was passed.
