A man died in an accident that occurred on the M-5 road in the north of the country on Friday morning, IPN reports.
The police said that the victim, a 57-year-old man, was driving legally and his vehicle was hit head-on by a car that was overtaking another vehicle. The impact was so strong that the man died on the spot.
The driver who caused the accident is to be detained for 72 hours. The breathalyzer test showed that he was not drunk. The police continue the investigations to establish all the circumstances in which the accident between Corlăteni village in Rîșcani district and Pelinia village in Drochia district occurred.
