A man aged 36 from Bilicenii Vechi village of Sangerei district died after he was hit by a car when he was driving his scooter in the afternoon of July 22.
Eugenia Molceanov, press officer of the Sangerei Police Inspectorate, has told IPN that the tragedy happened on the Chisinau-Balti road, near Sangerei district. The man on the scooter tried to enter the main road from a secondary road without giving way to the car that was moving legally. As a result, he was struck violently and died on the spot.
The four occupants of the car involved in the accident weren’t hurt. The 40-year-old driver is from Chisinau. The alcotest showed he didn’t drink alcohol.
The police started a criminal case.
