A 58-year-old man was sentenced to ten years in jail for murder attempt. He stabbed for several times a man from Glodeni district and his female partner, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, being under the influence of alcohol, the culprit entered the couple’s home in Glodeni district. As a result of a conflict with the two, the man took a kitchen knife and stabbed the hosts in the neck and the chest. The woman cried for help and the attacker ran away.
As the culprit fully admitted his guilt, the case was examined according to a simplified procedure. He got ten years in a closed prison.
The sentence is not yet final and can be disputed in the Balti Appeals Court within 15 days.
