A 47-year-old man was detained for 72 hours after the body of his 42-year-old concubine was found in their home. The woman's body had marks of violent death. The incident took place in village Cheltuitori in the Tohatin commune, Chișinău municipality.
Asked by IPN, the Chișinău Municipal Police Inspectorate press officer, Natalia Stati, said that, during the on-site examination, the coroner found that the woman had suffered a trauma to the region of the head. The woman's lifeless body was referred to the Center for Forensic Medicine in order to precisely determine the cause of death.
A criminal investigation on domestic violence was initiated.
