A 34-year-old man was sentenced to ten years in jail because he beat his mother to death. The sentence was given by the Fălești Branch of the Balti Court, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, as a result of a conflict between the two this June, the man, being under the influence of alcohol, kicked and punched his mother for several times, causing serious bodily injuries to her. The woman died as a result of her injuries. It happened at her domicile in Fălești town.
The culprit fully admitted his guilt.
The Fălești Branch also sentenced a man aged 51 to six years behind bars for domestic violence against his mother, who suffered serious bodily injuries.
The sentences can be challenged in the Balti Appeals Court within 15 days.
