A man aged 62 died when he was struck by a large truck on the Chisinau-Soroca road, near Malaiesti village, in the evening of October 11, IPN reports.
According to the Orhei Police Inspectorate, the man was riding a bicycle. He tried to cross the road illegally and was hit by a truck with pigs going to Soroca town. The truck moved according to rules. The truck driver is from Floresti town.
As a result of the impact, the bicyclist died on the spot.
