Prime Minister Maia Sandu, co-president of the ACUM Bloc, urges the confused colleagues within the formation not to confuse free speech with empty words. "You have a choice - either participate in change and take on extremely difficult work, or continue to do nothing and inflame society with the needs of your own ego," says Maia Sandu in a message posted on her Facebook page.

"I am addressing my colleagues, the deputies from the ACUM bloc - ensuring that our country is coming back to normality, a common sense normality, first of all, is a difficult task. We must pay attention to our mission and not turn the fight with thievery and corruption into a vanity battle," the politician says. According to her, there is a need for "people who are ready to soil their clothes in order to clean the land of garbage". She urges her colleagues to devote less time to heated statements and more to work.

"Secondly, I address those in the PSRM. We decided to unite our forces in Parliament to eliminate the destructive tick named Plahotniuc. I went through misunderstandings and differences of vision, because I knew that if the regime stays a little longer, there will be nothing left in the country. We in the ACUM formation believe in democracy. We believe that it is natural and even necessary for a democracy to have different opinions, contradictions and the right to disagree. It is our way of being and we will stay so. Of course, democracy is fragile. But these divergences cannot become an obstacle for the purpose that determined us to have an agreement between ACUM and the PSRM”, declared Maia Sandu.

The Prime minister guarantees the citizens that no one sat comfortably in the armchair, forgetting about the made promises. According to her, her team consists of ethical professionals and, which, perhaps, represents something new for the Moldovan governance, a team of well-intentioned persons with a clear intention to work for people. The central pillar, at the beginning of the way, in order to do justice, is the Prosecutor General. We know you want to speed up this process. Now the Prosecutor General is elected, according to the law, by the High Council of Prosecutors (CSP). But we cannot let the current CSP choose the new prosecutor, because we know who the CSP members are. We are looking for legal solutions for the next prosecutor to be truly independent, to start punishing thieves and to irreversibly reform the prosecutor's office,” Maia Sandu emphasized.

Earlier this week, MP Octavian Țîcu, of the ACUM/DA group, said that at present there is an agreement between two political groups that held diametrically opposed visions. According to him, "their immediate and short-term goal was to overthrow Plahotniuc's regime and organize fair elections for the citizens of this country, which would correctly represent the political parties in Parliament." The parliamentarian said that "an authentic change with the PSRM would be more difficult, because, in fact, it has entered a very dangerous game with sharing of positions, ministries, contests, parliamentary commissions, etc.".
