President Maia Sandu last year had over 226,800 lei earnings and a travel allowance of 4,700 lei, according to her income and personal interest statement submitted to the National Integrity Authority, IPN reports.
In her statement, Maia Sandu also indicates US$71 earned as interest from Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.
The official owns an apartment that is 74,500 square meters in area bought in 2003, to the value of 440,100 lei, and a Toyota RAV4 car made in 2007, which was purchased in 2012 for 170,000 lei. She does not declare any lots of land or other buildings except for the apartment.
President Sandu also possesses a checking account with 18,800 lei in a bank in Chisinau and a deposit at Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union based in Washington DC, the U.S., where she has US$2,300.
Maia Sandu took office of President of the Republic of Moldova on December 24, 2020.
