If she is elected President, the PAS candidate Maia Sandu will go to Parliament with the bill to clean up the judicial system and the prosecution service that was drafted last year in the Cabinet. The bill stipulates that each judge and prosecutor will be assessed separately so that all those who have ties with the mafia system, who committed offenses, passed illegal decision and all those who protect the thieves and corrupt people leave the system at the first stage and are then penalized, IPN reports.

In the talk show “In Depth” on Pro TV channel, the politician stated that the future of Moldova depends on the successful completion of the justice sector reform. The snap parliamentary elections are a method by which a sufficient number of seats of MP can be secured for this law to be adopted.

Maia Sandu noted that as President, she will name only honest persons who are not controlled by mafia groups as judges. She will support the honest people of all the public institutions, who want to do good things, but are now prevented from doing this and are pressed not to do it. When they know that the office of President is held by an honest person and they can bank on the support of this person, they will have more courage to do good things.

As to the cases of resonance, the candidate said she will speak about these cases, will monitor the way in which they are dealt with and will discuss within the Supreme Security Council with all the institution heads who delay the investigation of cases of grand corruption.
