The initiation of the justice reform and the restoration of foreign partners’ confidence in the Republic of Moldova are among the main achievements of the Government in 100 days from the investment. In a report presented on September 24, Prime Minister Maia Sandu commended her team saying "it is the most honest government the Republic of Moldova has ever had," IPN reports.

Maia Sandu associated the former government with "a ship which was about to sink." At the time of taking over, it proved to be "amidst the storm" and the new government had to "repair the rudder to avoid hitting rocks and sinking." Then they had to rid the ship of "rats" and find "honest sailors" to navigate it.

Prime minister noted that important steps had been taken in the justice reform in 100 days of governance. According to Maia Sandu, an ambitious reform has been developed, which will cleanse the system of vulnerable judges and prosecutors. Also, amendments were approved to the Law of the Prosecutor's Office, which opens the way for electing a truly independent, professional and honest general prosecutor.

The prime minister mentioned the creation of a Council for the coordination of anti-corruption policies, which would monitor how the institutions in charge of preventing and combating corruption were fulfilling their commitments. In three months, says Maia Sandu, several corruption schemes have been discovered in state-owned enterprises. These are "PD schemes at the Airport, Air Moldova, Modtelecom, Metalferos, Chisinau Arena". Fraudulent privatizations and dubious procurement processes were stopped. The officials involved in the abuses were dismissed.

The greatest accomplishment is that Plahotniuc and Șor, and other thieves like them are no longer in power, no longer invent new schemes to steal our money. More and more of their crimes are coming to light,” the prime minister said.

Maia Sandu claims that in these 100 days the Government has managed to overcome the country’s international isolation. It managed to obtain political support and financial assistance from the development partners, which allowed the avoidance of a major financial crisis. Two reviews were completed under the IMF program and 46 million US dollars have been obtained. The government has received 14.5 million euros of EU budget support and is about to get another 60 million by the end of this year. Loans of two billion lei were unblocked. "The money will be used to cover the budget hole left by the former government," the prime minister said.

During this time, corrections have been made to the financing programs "which were allocated on political criteria in the past" and resources have been found to pay salaries according to the new provisions of the wage law. Salaries have been raised for several categories of employees. "We wanted to increase people's incomes faster, but in order to share prosperity we have to create it first," said Maia Sandu.

The government led by Maia Sandu was invested on June 8, 2019.
