President Maia Sandu will be paying an official visit to Brussels on January 18-19. While in Brussels, President Sandu will have a number of meetings with high-ranking officials of EU institutions, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, on the first day of her visit Maia Sandu will meet with the President of the European Council Charles Michel, President of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borell Fontelles, Vice-President of the European Commission. She will also have discussions with European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders and European Commission for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Olivér Várhelyi.
On the second day of the visit, President Sandu will have meetings with the Prime Minister of the UK Alexander De Croo, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium and President of the European Parliament David Maria Sassoli and withy members of the European Parliament and other high-ranking European officials.
